Here we have the best album of the previous decade in my opinion!After a fantastic demo, Jacobs Dream from Ohio released this masterpiece in 2000 from Metal Blade records.What do we have here?A perfect lyrical power/prog metal album for all the fans of Queensryche,Fates Warning,Crimson Glory,Heir Apparent...David Taylor vocals is a perfect mix of Geoff Tate,Midnight and Bruce Dickinson.Songs like kinescope,the bleeding tree,tale of fears,mad house of cain etc will sent you to heavy metal paradise!
Let's start with a masterpiece!Recon hails from Los Angeles,California and in 1990 released this album from Intense Records.Their style is Us Heavy/Power with great guitars,riffs,melodies and incredible high-pitched vocals from Vett Roberts that reminds Geoff Tate.All fans of Queensryche,Crimson Glory etc must hear this album.Best songs in my opinion are:lost soldier,take us away,the more melodic dreams,and the power/speed hymn behind enemy lines.The album re-released in 2001 with these bonus tracks(but beware there is also a bootleg release):
